Market Support Specialist

Job Summary

commZoom is seeking a Market Support Specialist. The role will be responsible for selling new services, resolving calls and answering questions regarding new and existing service, termination of service, and respond to other questions concerning account billing, products, and services in a professional, courteous and accurate manner.

Location: San Antonio, TX

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responds to customer requirements via the telephone, email, internet, or in person with the goal of securing customer orders, responding to problems and answering questions
  • Educates customers on available services while demonstrating account ownership
  • Troubleshoots customer issues for resolution and generates work orders for field service as required
  • Processes electronic and manual payments, refunds, rebates, and return items

Distribution Technician (Line Tech)

Distribution Technician (Line Tech)

The Distribution Technician is responsible for tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of our existing coaxial plant infrastructure. Secondary duties include support to construction of new HFC infrastructure.

Location(s): Pleasanton, Kenedy, Karnes City, Three Rivers, Goliad (may also be based out of San Antonio)

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot to identify faults within the coax drop, distribution and trunk systems to ensure appropriate signal level
  • Correct faults in the system by adjusting, repairing or replacing passive and/or active components (Nodes, Amps, Line Extenders, taps, splitters, power supplies, etc)
  • Utilize test equipment and tools to repair and/or make appropriate adjustments to the cable system
  • Ensures proper alignment of RF levels (forward and return setup)
  • Assists in the installation of trunk and distribution coaxial cables
  • Operate in accordance with local and state DOT guidelines
  • Repair cable in emergency after hour situations
  • Complete preventative maintenance
  • Provides support to Installer/Premise Technician, as necessary

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Understanding of HFC plants and RF theory
  • Knowledge of all equipment from node to tap
  • 2 years as line technician with coax experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent

IT Systems Administrator

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring and supporting local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and Internet systems. Candidate will also be responsible for monitoring the network to ensure availability to all system users and performing necessary maintenance to support network availability.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in interpreting and applying computer languages, working with data structures and applying computer logic and flow chart diagrams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be team oriented.

Responsibilities include:

Administers network backup, security management, user account management, internet access, office systems and applications support according to business needs.

  • Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Performs regular security assessments to identify any possible intrusions and deploy appropriate response procedures.

Business Internet Sales Associate

The Business Internet Sales Associate is responsible for building the commercial Internet subscriber base in the markets where commZoom has upgraded its Internet plant. Candidate must be able to call on, reach and present to decision makers at various sizes of commercial enterprises using various tactics to secure those opportunities to present including but not limited to cold calls over the phone and in face-to-face settings, use of e-mails, text messages and networking to produce and close leads. The candidate must be able to articulate features and benefits of the product and service and position the business for success in a competitive environment. Strong communication and organization skills are a must. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to win, be fanatical regarding attention to detail, show high integrity to be able to balance the demands of a high velocity transactional environment.

Candidate will spend considerable time in each market and must have reliable transportation to and from the markets in which commZoom operates presently and in the future. Company headquarters are in San Antonio which is where the job is based.

Qualified candidates will have:

OSP Construction Technician

The OSP Construction Tech is responsible for tasks associated with the construction/upgrade of existing/new HFC infrastructure. Secondary duties include support of coaxial and fiber plant maintenance.

Location(s): San Antonio

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in maintaining proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment
  • Pulls lashing equipment down cable lines to secure wires
  • Uses pounding equipment to install grounding rods and anchors into ground
  • Assists in pulling out cable lines and other equipment used in installing cable wires
  • Installs equipment and dress pole using assorted small hand and power tools
  • Operates chain hoist to add tension to cable and guy wires
  • Digs up and repair conduit, rod and rope existing conduit, place cable in new and occupied duct
  • Performs drop placements and ped/vault installations
  • Operates vehicle and bucket lift safely, following all safety and traffic regulations
  • Basic daily maintenance of Company vehicle including fluids check, cleanliness vehicle organization
  • Assists in directing traffic flow in accordance with local and state DOT guidelines
  • Responsible to fill out daily production reports

Qualified candidates will possess:
